Ireland looks a bit like a backwards e.

Eire

The true name of Ireland, written in angelic script during one of my automatic writing sessions with St. Oran. Note the first letter and its resemblance to the actual shape of the island-- an e. . . backwards. The second e in the word is scripted "normally."
